Your kids' excitment over the snacks reminds me of my 5 year old daughter's first T-ball game a couple weeks ago. When I asked her what her favorite part of the game was, she said "When we all cheered '2-4-6-8, who do we appreciate.'" Her second favorite part? When they went down the line shaking hands with the other team. :)

Sounds like they're still young, they may become more interested later or they might not. I only played two seasons of softball as a kid and yet was very active later with jogging, swimming and martial arts. I still love to swim and do so all year.

I think exposing your children to different sports and such is important and maybe one day they'll be a great soccer player... or not. If I only put my kids into what programs they wanted to do, they'd be professional TV watchers.

I assumed all of my daughters would have a passion for piano at a young age the way I did. WRONG! They dance. Ballet. DANCE? I don't ever dance! Where did DANCE come from?

I think it's hard for some parents(not saying you at all) to realize that children's passion might not be the same as their own. My oldest son loves loves loves soccer and I hate hate hate sports. But he's in 1 team a season and 1 basketball team a season. But dang is it hard to go to a game and not take a book!!!
