I've never commented on these headlines but the one on flip-flops got me.

The older girls in Lillianna's school(5th-6th graders) wear flip-flops practically all year long.
When I went up to help her computer class last year, bare toes were everywhere even though it was about 50 degrees and raining outside.

I don't go along with the statement that flip-flops are a hazzard when walking upstairs unless they ban oversized pants that boys wear. Those things are a hazzard!! They could easily trip on their drooping pants and fall down a flight of stairs.

I think banning inappropriate clothes such as big pants, belly shirts and tight clothes is more important than flip-flops.
