Ignorance is definitely bliss when it comes to my spending habits.
I spent this morning getting caught up on five months' worth of bank statements. That's right, I haven't balanced our checking account since February. And now that it's balanced I see how unbalanced our spending is. Here's where most of our money goes:
This summer we did not spend the money on a new roof, did not paint our bedroom (the trim is taped, though, because any minute now we're going to turn it into a cabernet womb), did not go on vacation to the new Nick hotel. But we did buy Colter $400 worth of graphic novels.
I'm pretty sure we're going to have to move far, far away from SuperTarget and Borders or convince them to create a college scholarship for Colter, since I've put all of their corporate children through school with my purchases.
