Royal Mom

hmm, I have a really hard time with this one. I also have a (almost) three year old. This is one of those things I remember being ultra annoyed with before I had my own kids.

Sitting in a waiting room, a four year old girl will start asking me questions and sitting by me, asking what my name is. Meanwhile, the mom is across the room watching like its the cutest thing in the world. This used to really bother me.

Now that I have my own kids, I can see a different perspective. But I tend to use those times to discuss the matter of privacy. It doesn't seem to deflate his curiosity, and he quickly moves on to something else.

Interesting . . . you know, what you describe is one of the hallmarks of a highly gifted child. They see the world differently. They learn from EVERYTHING. And they help YOU learn to see the world differently. It's WONDERFUL! Congrats!
