Anything a mom can't fix with a kiss and a band-aid always seems overwhelming because it is out of our hands. When Lillianna was admitted to the hospital for 3 days this past May I felt very helpless. She had dehydrated from vomiting for one day. I was right on top of things but she couldn't keep any liquid in her so I couldn't prevent the dehydration.

I am sure it was hard for you to calm Lila when you were in a panic. There's no way to disguise how you are feeling unless you're a great actress. (I'm not!) So many tests for such a young child. It is so scary. Many moms have the fear that they could lose their child at one time or another. It's the most awful feeling. All we can do is love them with all our heart each day and pray for good health for them and for us (my other fear is that I die when she is young. I want to be around for many more years.)
Hang in there and keep us posted on her tests. Good luck!
