my daughter is only two and a half, no progress reports here. :) Except the end-of-day daycare variety, which are much easier (minus biting, I'd say!) than true progress reports. I really like the way you handled your situation and wanted to commend you on it.

If you substituted Lillianna's for Erin's I would've thought you were talking about OUR family!
Lillianna's last progress report was very distressing to her. She didn't see all the 4s and 3+s that she got. All she saw was that she went from a 4 to a 3+ or 3 in conduct and following directions. She said she was the worst child ever!! It broke my heart. She admitted that she sits at a fun table now with her friends and they chat. I told her while she is in school she is to listen to the teacher and follow directions. Recess is for playing with her friends.
She is doing much better, I think. Progress reports come out again in a couple of weeks.
I don't know how old Erin is but Lillianna is 7. She is very sensitive and always wants to do her best.We are working on this!!
I'm glad I'm not the only one going through through this type of situation.

Wow, that was brilliantly handled. Susan, are you hiding your Supermom cape somewhere?

Kiddo#1 thankfully is too small for progress reports. :) Except for the ones that mothers give me when we are at the playground and they feel the need to inform me that he is *shock* playing on the slide by himself or something of that nature.
