That's why Gary told Colter that if he took a bath and washed his hair this morning, he could play GameCube until it was time to go to school.
Now, bribery is nothing new in my house, where our motto is generally: "whatever works." But today I saw at least three flaws in this strategy.
First, bribery typically begets more bribery ("What do I get if I make my bed?").
Second, what's most important is that we do what's best for Colter, not what's most expedient for us.
Third, nothing's ever easy.
My mantra has become..."It's easier to handle the matter right the first time that to do damage control"

But sometimes it just seems like a good idea... although life isn't easy, does it always have to be so dang tough?????
Yep, I've played the bribery card....
Sometimes it works, sometimes it throws mud back in your face. ;)

Well said - especially the 3rd point. Point #4, And, if you don't adhere the first two it doesn't get any easier :)
