BlogPulse can do trend analysis on terms, so I searched "mom," "mother," and "parent" and discovered that fewer than 10 percent of blogs refer to those subjects. There's an interesting spike in May, though. Any ideas why?

I have to agree. Mommy blogs are down right hilarious! Please, feel free to check mine out as well!
Here's a link to the BlogPulse trend graph for mothers that won't break: moms' trend graph.

Interesting to see that the graph peaks each weekend. I'd guess because of folks calling or visiting or doing things with their moms on the weekends. And, yes, that peak in early May has got to be Mother's Day!
I'm with Debbie. Maybe most Mother's just dont take the time. I have tried to convince several of my friends to blog, but they keep telling me they don't have time.
I'm surprised at that statistic. I would assume that women who have kids would write about them and that more than ten percent would have kids. I guess there are fewer blogging mommies than I thought.

I've noticed that a lot of blogs out there are political. I wonder what the percentage is on those.

Wow! That little. The article in Time magazine last month made it sound like a lot more.
