Colter is going to a Jewish Community Center camp this summer, which means he swims twice a day, goes on field trips, and learns about Judaism.
This morning I found a sheet he completed there about the "Pirke Avot," a collection of wise Rabbinic sayings.
The kids circled three sayings (out of 10) they thought were most important then explained what they thought the saying meant.
What Colter circled: | What it meant to him: |
Say little, do much. | Don't talk, walk. |
Who is wise? He who learns from all people. | Listen to people. |
Before you judge your neighbor, put yourself in his place. |
Be your neighbor. |
Is it any wonder I love this boy?
Well done Colter you are a very bright young man!

Did you expect anything less from this boy? He is so clued in to everything! I think he is amazing. He totally gets it. I know adults who wouldn't understand this at all. You and Gary must be so proud. You have raised a wise child. Isn't it wonderful?
