On March 28, 2009, Colter became a Bar Mitzvah. He prepared for months and led a relaxed, beautiful service on Saturday morning, followed by a day with family and friends and a fabulous carnival-themed party. I've been proud of him often in his 12 years, but this was entirely different. I admired his dedication, his self-confidence and his commitment to Judaism, his Jewish community and his family. Photos are on Facebook (below from left to right are Gary, me, Rabbi Klein, Colter and Cantor Jacobson as Colter chants his Torah portion).
You know, yours was the first blog I ever found!!?!

Mazel Tov,Colter!
I still remember my Bat Mitzvah which was April 10, 1976! Wow...that was a long time ago.
What a great picture of all of you.
I hope you are all doing well.
