"Reading Moms" is a place to catch up on the latest discussions about the books we're reading for fun, the books we're reading to our children, at work, in bed at night. Whenever, wherever we read, whatever is on our nightstands, in our bags, or on our shelves -- whether it's a parenting book, a mystery, a memoir, chick lit, or anything else -- we'll write about it.
Reading Mom contributor Ellen Schuette describes the blog this way: "Are you a private reader? Do you hate having to dress up and drink tea and grit your teeth while sitting at a book club discussing a book you didn't choose and maybe even hated? Then we're your online book club ... all the joys of reading -- and talking about reading -- without the hassles." (You can read Ellen's bio here, along with bios of the other contributors.)
We write about what we're reading or want to read or plan to avoid. Some books are provided free from publicists and publishers. When they are, we'll include that information in the posting.
"Reading Moms" provides links to news about books and links to book blogs. And in addition to sharing news, our views and book reviews, we'll interview authors and others about what it's like to write and publish books for reading moms. You can subscribe to this blog via RSS or e-mail.
If you're an author or publicist who wants us to read your book, we want to hear from you. If you're a reading mom who wants to contribute to this blog, let us know. And if you have any general comments about how we can improve the site, click here.
